I have been dying to go to the Ben and Jerry’s Factory in Vermont since I realized it was there. Which was about a couple of years ago. I never really thought about where the factory was located, but New Englanders talk about it and once I found out, I knew I had to go. Because, who doesn’t like Ben + Jerry’s ice cream, am I right?

The tour is 30 minutes long and costs $4 to get in. We went on a Saturday thinking it wouldn’t be too packed, but we were wrong. There were lines and crowds of people everywhere. After perusing the gift shop, we found a spot to stand until our tour time. The tour is broken down into three parts. You’re not allowed to take photos through most of it, but it goes by rather quickly. It’s pretty cool to see the behind-the-scenes magic and learn about their business. After you’re done with the tour, you get a free sample.

After the tour, we thought about getting ice cream since we were there, but the line was a mile long {slightly exaggerating} so we skipped it and went to the flavor graveyard. This is a must see when you visit. It’s a short walk away from the factory.

I had a great time learning more about the history of Ben and Jerry’s, I definitely recommend making a stop if you’re in Vermont!
