South Street Diner is one of the best places to get a filling brunch. It's a short walk from South Station and they serve breakfast all day. It's a win-win.

This was my first patio brunch of the season. I enjoyed sitting outside, reading a book and sipping on a mimosa until my food came. I ordered the Supreme Omelet with ham, bacon, olives, cheddar cheese, and avocado. The omelet came with home fries and toast. I was pretty excited about my choice as I have not had an omelet in quite a while.

I didn't realize the olives that were included in the omelet were Kalamata Olive's - which are very salty / vinegary. I did not like them, so I made sure to pick them out of the omelet as I was eating. I did try to eat them, but I did not like the taste. The rest of the omelet, however, was delicious.

The omelet was huge. I knew as soon as the waitress set the plate down that I would not be able to finish my plate. I made it about half way through the meal before I had to admit defeat. Which, is not a bad thing. I wanted to eat it all because it was so delicious, but I knew my stomach would be angry at me later in the day.
