I ventured out to South End to meet my friend for brunch on Mother's Day. Since our mom's do not live in Massachusetts to celebrate with them, we met to celebrate.
Frenchie is a very cute little restaurant. We sat in the back of the restaurant where the whole room was windows so you can look out on to the patio.
I decided to order the Ham Croques Monsieur but upgraded it to a Ham Croques Madame, with a sunnyside egg on top. A Croques Monsieur is a grilled breakfast sandwich. Inside this sandwich was ham, smoked bacon, bechamel, and gruyère cheese. It was very delicious. I ate the whole thing because I was hungry and the portions are on the smaller side.
E ordered the omelet. The omelette included bacon, caramelized onions, and gruyère cheese. The omelette was very good as well as the home fries. E asked for extra crispy home fries and they came out great.
Overall, Frenchie is a great brunch spot that you should check out. Our food came out very quickly - I guess they have very quick chefs. But, nonetheless, the food was great!
