Any time there is a country concert happening around me, there's a pretty good bet that I'll be attending. I love country music and YES, I have cowboy boots that I wear to these shows.

In Boston.

Massachusetts.

Where no one wears cowboy boots.

Of course the day that this show happened, we had a little snow storm, so trekking to the venue was an adventure in itself. I had to hold my scarf around my face because my nose and mouth were frozen. Snow was pelting my eyes - it was really hard to walk. However, I made it to the venue. I was able to win meet and greet passes for Lindsay Ell. I was able to meet her before the show. She's incredibly sweet and nice. I was also able to see one of my friends, who is working as Lindsay Ell's tour manager.

I checked my coat into the HOB coat check - which I do not recommend. After the show, you have to wait to get your jacket - which wouldn't be horrible. However, the coat check is near the exit. The exit doors are open. OPEN. Which means you're freezing in line waiting. With everyone who checked in their coat. Which is basically the whole venue. I personally didn't feel as though it was worth the five bucks I paid to check it in.

The show was amazing. I'll be honest - I had no idea who Tara Thompson or Brandy Clark were, but I left as a fan. Lindsay Ell and Jennifer Nettles were amazing in concert. Lindsay Ell had a looping pedal, so for one of her songs, she looped one of her guitar chords and beatboxing, then played and sang over it. It was so amazing. Jennifer Nettles performed old songs from Sugarland, songs from her first solo album, and some new songs from her upcoming album.

The only part I did not like about the show {which doesn't happen often} is the fact that the crowd was always talking. Even during the sets. I was so annoyed with everyone. If it's an occasional hushed sound, that's fine, but people were chatting. The only time they weren't chatting was when a song was played that everyone knew so they could sing along to.

If the CMT Next Women of Country tour is coming through your city, buy a ticket and go! You won't be disappointed as these ladies are all wonderfully talented!
