Let's Hear it For New York

After almost ten years, I have finally made it back to NYC.

NYC is where I first fell in love with the east coast. It's a special place in my heart. I actually thought about moving to NYC, but let's face it, I'd probably have to work five jobs to live there. And that would not be fun.

Since moving to Massachusetts, I have been wanting to visit NYC. I just haven't made it down to the Big Apple to visit. My family was coming to visit, so I decided to take them to NYC for the day. The bus ride took about 4 and half hours. We arrived at 11:30 AM. As soon as we stepped off the bus, we hit the ground running.

We saw so many sights. Madison Square Garden, NY Public Library {{ where The Day After Tomorrow was filmed }}, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral {{ we couldn't go in because there was a graduation }}, Rockefeller Center, NBC Observation Deck, the outside of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Empire State Building, and the Chrysler Building.

While in Times Square, we saw Billy on the Street. If you don't know who Billy on the Street is, you're missing out {{ also, please watch this -- please be advised that there is some foul language involved }}. Billy on the Street is a youtube series where Billy runs around the streets of New York and asks people questions. He usually runs around with a celeb. He asks them the question and then he yells at them. He yells either because {{ A }} he gets impatient that they take too long to answer or {{ B }} they don't answer the way he wants them to answer. I practically freaked out when I saw him. I wanted to be on the show but couldn't get to the crowd to be on it. I did see him yell at a lady with a selfie stick. After I saw him pass by, I saw that he was with Julianne Moore - who by the way looks amazingly gorgeous.

Overall, the day was successful. Our bus broke down on the way over and ended up being an hour and a half late to pick us up. That was the only downer of the whole trip. Also, being in NYC on a week day before all the summer tourists come is perfection.
