Sunny Saturday

Happy Record Store Day!!

This is {surprisingly} my first year going record shopping on Record Store Day! It was so much fun going shopping for records.

I went with one of my friends and we just went to Newbury Comics, but it was a blast looking through all the records and trying to figure out what I wanted to get. I didn't get any records that came out juuust for Record Store Day - which is fine with me. There weren't any that particularly stood out with me.

After arguing with myself over which albums I should get, I ended up walking out with + by Ed Sheeran and The Johnny Cash Show. There were too many albums that I wanted to get, but I couldn't get them all! I'm pretty happy with my decisions.

I'm super psyched that Ed Sheeran's vinyl is orange. I wasn't expecting it to be orange until I pulled it out. I recently started to listening to Ed Sheeran - and I'm not sure why it took me so long. It's probably because if it's something everybody likes I like to hold out for the longest time before actually getting into it. I'm sad that it's taken me this long though because Ed Sheeran is really good.

The Johnny Cash album really shouldn't be a surprise from me siiiince I live and breathe country music. Okay, I do like other genres, but I was raised on country music and I love it. I don't understand people who don't like it.

After the amazingness of Record Store Day, my friend and I decided to get some brunch. We went to Tory Row in Harvard Square and, let me tell you, it was AMAZING. I got a mimosa + egg muffin + home fries and it was so delish. I was not expecting a salad to come with it either, but ahhhh so good. I definitely recommend stopping by there if you're looking for a brunch place. The prices also were surprisingly good for brunch.

Yesterday, I saw on Julian Edelman's social media sites that he would be at the Puma store on Newbury Street and I knew I had to go.

{{ forthoseofyouthatdontknow || Julian Edelman is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots. He is my favorite football player. }}

I ended up waiting two hours to see him. It wasn't really a meet and greet thing - they were selling these awesome t-shirts for the Massachusetts General Hospital. I was able to see him walk through the line towards the end. There were just so many people to say hi to. I am super glad that I got to see him. I was able to get into the store shortly after that and saw him in there as well. I still didn't get to meet him, but I was able to see him! Which made my day!

Now, after all the excitement of today, I am relaxing on my sofa, listening to my records!
