2014 CMT Music Awards

Tonight is the CMT Music Awards! I'm always super excited for any kind of country music award show. They are just so much fun. Artists are already posting behind the scenes pictures, so it's making me anxious for 8:00 to hurry up and arrive! I'm going to take a little stab at guessing who I think will win the awards for each category tonight. This is all fan voted, so I'm not going to base off who I want to win, but rather who I think would be most favorable. The artists that I think will win, will be bolded.

Video of the Year Boys Round Here | Blake Shelton featuring Pistol Annies and Friends See You Again | Carrie Underwood Give Me Back My Hometown | Eric Church This is How We Roll | Florida Georgia Line featuring Luke Bryan I Want Crazy | Hunter Hayes Follow Your Arrow | Kacey Musgraves We Were Us | Keith Urban featuring Miranda Lambert That's My Kind of Night | Luke Bryan Automatic | Miranda Lambert Red | Taylor Swift It Goes Like This | Thomas Rhett Highway Don't Care | Tim McGraw featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban

Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan are having pretty big years.. So, to have both of them in ONE song and ONE music video... it just seems like they'd take the cake on this one.

Male Video of the Year Doin' What She Likes | Blake Shelton Give Me Back My Hometown | Eric Church I Want Crazy | Hunter Hayes Night Train | Jason Aldean Crash My Party | Luke Bryan Runnin' Outta Moonlight | Randy Houser

This will be a tough one I think because all these videos are so goooooood. I just think Mr. Bryan will take it because he's been winning a lot of fan based awards lately. So we'll see if I'm right.

Female Video of the Year See  You Again | Carrie Underwood Wasting All These Tears | Cassadee Pope Follow Your Arrow | Kacey Musgraves Automatic | Miranda Lambert Easy | Sheryl Crow Red | Taylor Swift

I think a lot of people like Miranda Lambert's new song, and the video is done quite nicely, so I think she is likely to win.. but I could see Kacey Musgraves being the underdog and winning the award.

Group Video of the Year Drunk Last Night | Eli Young Band Compass | Lady Antebellum Your Side of the Bed | Little Big Town Rewind | Rascal Flatts Done | The Band Perry Sweet Annie | Zac Brown Band

I think that The Band Perry is really huge right now and will win it. Although, I think Lady Antebellum, LBT, or Rascal Flatts couuuld potentially take the award.

Duo Video of the Year 19 You + Me | Dan + Shay Round Here | Florida Georgia Line Stay | Florida Georgia Line Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About | Thompson Square

As much as I want Dan + Shay to win the Duo Video of the Year, I think FGL will walk away with the award, only because I know Stay was a HUGE hit for them, and the video is one of my favorites by them. BUT Dan + Shay are a hot up and coming duo.. they could be a surprise. This is fan voted.

Breakthrough Video of the Year Beat of the Music | Brett Eldredge Wasting All These Tears | Cassadee Pope Chillin' It | Cole Swindell Whatever She's Got | David Nail It Goes Like This | Thomas Rhett Redneck Crazy | Tyler Farr

This song is catchy and the video is ridiculously cute. Since the category is pretty much male-dominant, I could see Thomas Rhett walking away with it.

Collaborative Video of the Year Boys Round Here | Blake Shelton featuring Pistol Annies and Friends This is How We Roll | Florida Georgia Line featuring Luke Bryan Cruise [Remix] | Florida Georgia Line featuring Nelly Everybody's Got Somebody But Me | Hunter Hayes featuring Jason Mraz We Were Us | Keith Urban featuring Miranda Lambert Highway Don't Care | Tim McGraw featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban

I think that Blake Shelton will win this one because the song is funny, the video is equally funny and it's Blake Shelton.

CMT Performance of the Year Counting Stars [from CMT Crossroads] | Dierks Bentley and OneRepublic Days of Gold [from CMT Hot 20 Countdown] | Jake Owen Rhiannon [from CMT Crossroads] | Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks Oh No/All Night Long [from 2013 CMT Artists of the Year] | Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark [Light Em Up] [from CMT Crossroads] | The Band Perry and Fall Out Boy Long May You Run [from CMT Crossroads] | Willie Nelson and Neil Young

High energy bands with a high energy performance - I think The Band Perry has this one in the bag.
